This townhouse’s unique story:

This four-story 1808 Tribeca townhouse featured 43 feet of street frontage and lots of sunlight. A colorfully renovated triplex with rental income below, its walls hid an impressive artistic and countercultural pedigree and a connection to John Lennon. However, it failed to sell while listed with a large brokerage.

The owners were initially wary about entrusting their downtown property to an uptown firm. Nevertheless, our marketing strategies impressed them. By making the most of their property’s unique story, we interested The New York Times in the John Lennon connection. The property was featured in The New York Times Big Deal column, and soon we brought a direct buyer who paid the full asking price.
